How to make a cute Farmhouse Serving Tray

I found some cute serving trays at the local craft store and I thought they would be super cute to decorate with a farmhouse theme. I figured the Chalk Couture Chickens transfer would be perfect for this project. Here's how things started...

After I finished the video I decided I wasn't crazy about the Copper all by itself so I chalked one in black. I liked that one much better, but I still wanted to find a way to make the shimmer copper work so...

I chalked over the copper chickens with black and then I used the mini squeege and a small paint brush to "fill in" all the open parts of the chicken so it was a solid black chicken silhouette. Once the black was dry I chalked the chickens again in the shimmer Copper.

I ended up with 2 farmhouse chicken serving trays and I love them both!

Here's a list of supplies you'll need if you'd like to make one.

Chalk Couture Supplies:

Chalk Couture Chickens Transfer

Black and or Shimmer Copper Chalkology Chalk Paste

Squeegee

Fuzzing Cloth

Serving tray - I found mine at a local craft store
